Basic Working Principle of Jaw Crusher

Jaw crushers are used for crushing rock and other materials into smaller sizes for further processing. The basic working principle of a jaw crusher is as follows:

1. The motor drives the belt and pulleys to move the jaw up and down through an eccentric shaft. When the moving jaw rises, the angle between the toggle plate and the moving jaw increases, thus pushing the moving jaw towards the fixed jaw.

2. The materials are crushed in the crushing cavity formed by the fixed jaw plate, the moving jaw plate, and the side guard plate. The maximum compression strength of the material to be crushed is less than 320MPa.

3. The discharge opening is controlled by the discharge gap adjusting device, which can adjust the size of the discharge opening to meet the different needs of the user.

Here is a summary table of the basic working principle of jaw crushers:

Basic Working Principle

---

The motor drives the belt and pulleys to move the jaw up and down through an eccentric shaft.

The materials are crushed in the crushing cavity formed by the fixed jaw plate, the moving jaw plate, and the side guard plate.

The discharge opening is controlled by the discharge gap adjusting device.

Overall, the basic working principle of a jaw crusher involves the movement of the jaw plates and the crushing of the materials in the crushing cavity. Understanding this principle can help users operate and maintain their jaw crushers properly and ensure efficient and safe operation.
